We are so excited to launch the Travel Dog Blog from the west side of Cleveland! How fitting that we launch our site and blog from the swing state of Ohio. The voters in Ohio will play a pivotal role in the upcoming presidential election and we hope to earn your vote of confidence for all things related to traveling with pets.
There is so much to do and see in the beautiful state of Ohio, "the heart of it all." We are starting off our journey in Bay Village which is a lovely town on the coast of Lake Erie. The famous and beautiful pet-friendly beach at Huntington Park is in the pleasantly walkable city of Bay Village.
We had a lovely afternoon exploring the beach with our girl, Maya (pictured below), before we headed up to the neighboring town of Westlake to do some window shopping at the pet friendly shopping and restaurant complex, Crocker Park (http://www.crockerpark.com). Many of the restaurants have outdoor patios and will allow well behaved pets on their patios as their owners dine and enjoy their visit. It was a bit chilly to sit outside during this trip, but we look forward to returning for a visit in warmer weather.
There are at least 1/2 dozen quaility pet-friendly hotels in Westlake, Ohio ranging from $52 a night to $99 a night which may be found and booked at the GoTravelDog.com. Remember, wherever you go, go with your dog! Because home is where your hound is. Safe and happy travels to all.
