Book A Pet Friendly Hotel

Oregon, OMG!

It was late spring/early summer in 2009 and I had business in Santa Rosa, CA and in St. Helens, Oregon. I had been to CA many times before this trip. But, had never been to the state of Oregon. So, I hit the road with two of my dogs and decided to drive up the entire coast of Oregon from my meetings in CA on my way to my meetings St. Helens. I headed north on Highway 101 along the coast of Oregon and experienced one of the most breathtaking road trips of my entire life.  I couldn't get enough of the expansive beaches and sand dunes and coastal cliffs and crystal clear lakes and volcanic mountains that I took in along the way.

I lost count of how many times I said "Oh My God" out loud because I was blown away by the astounding beauty of the countryside.  I drove nearly the entire length of the 363 miles of coastal highway and ultimately landed in Seaside, Oregon (it was well worth the hour and 40 minute drive back and forth between St. Helens and the coast). But, I would have been most happy to stay and play anywhere along the coast. I discovered a wonderful pet supply and doggy wash in Gold Beach on my way up the coast which can be found on our Pet Services page. The locals were delightful and kind and welcoming. I seriously did not want to leave this beautiful state. I highly recommend that you take this trip with pets. There are an abundance of pet-friendly hotels, cottages, and vacation rentals all along the coast. I plan to return to Oregon in the summer of 2013 to once again experience the splendor of the state. You can bet I will be blogging and tweeting and facebooking on my next trip!
